Some of the best information for basic introductions, how-to guides, and practical care for frogs and plants are available on YouTube. Here are the videos that I found most helpful.

DIY Bio-active enclosure | Step by Step with LinksClint’s Reptiles is a YouTube channel from a Zoology professor who enthusiastically shares advice on keeping a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians. This 30-minute video explains the major components of setting up a natural habitat. It’s a great introduction for people new to the hobby and has practical advice from a gifted teacher that most hobbyists will enjoy.
Building our large Dart Frog Nature Inspired Vivarium DIYThis is one of the few helpful videos I found that was specific to larger vivariums. The author discusses some of the challenges this poses. He doesn’t appear to have an automated misting or watering system, which is one of the more challenging steps for larger enclosures, but otherwise this has some helpful advice.
How to plant a dart frog vivariumSelecting, planting, and caring for the plants is at least as important as caring for the frogs. The video from Tropical Tutorials provides an excellent overview specific to dart frog enclosures.
In-depth poison dart frog care guide – everything you need to knowAlso from the Tropical Tutorials channel, this 50-minute video provides a thorough guide to keeping dart frogs. The guide assumes the frogs are kept in a bio-active enclosure, and many of the tips also apply to the plants and the system as a whole.
Poison dart frog, the best pet amphibian? This is another video from Clint’s Reptiles. While it doesn’t go into the same level of detail as the in-depth guide above, at 12 minutes it provides an accessible introduction and an interesting perspective. The supplies used in this example are more typical for newer and US hobbyists.
